PAINTING THE RAINBOW

"Once upon a time, after God created the earth, He came up with an idea to paint something colourful and hence the rainbow was painted in seven wonderful colours.........." That is exactly what I will tell my kid for a bed time story. But today I felt a bit different. What if I had been assigned the task of painting the rainbow? Well, let me imagine that I was and I did paint it. Now the next point to think over was why I chose those seven colours.........
Let me think........
About RED- it is my favourite colour. They call it the colour of love. But I call it the symbol of pain. After all, love is the most painful feeling that the heart bears in a lifetime.A pain that gives us warmth and meaning to life."RED" is a bleeding heart.
After a hard day, when I almost feel like quitting, I look up and see the setting sun- the warm orange ball of relief. It tells me that everything will be calm for sometime and asks my soul to rest itself."ORANGE" is a calm .
Sunflowers are my favourites. They make me smile and I love things that make me smile. Thus I painted "YELLOW" - to make the world smile.
Green is life. It is in my breath and it is my world and it is my world. So I picked out some green colour and painted a band in the rainbow. "GREEN" is the spring and I painted the spring in my rainbow.
Blue is winter. You might now argue that winter is white. To me blue is cold and blue is winter. And the winter in my rainbow is "BLUE",
I rarely do things without a reason, but then rarely I do.That is why I painted a band "INDIGO".May it forgive me for giving it the least importance....
"VIOLET" is vibrant and I would never dream of missing it in my rainbow.
Thus I painted my rainbow or I wished I could. But unfortunately or fortunately I didn't and everybody lived happily ever after.
